HBO drops Game of Thrones prequel ‘House of The Dragon’ teaser trailer

HBO has released the first official teaser for its upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series, House of The Dragon. Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, which is set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones” tells the story of House Targaryen.

The teaser featured the first official footage from the highly anticipated series and we get first looks at the incredible cast including Matt Smith, who narrates the action-packed teaser, guaranteed to get all Game of Thrones fans excited for the series while collectively hoping it’s not ‘Season 8’ all over again!

The Targaryens have been a favourite among Game of Thrones fans since the first book was released back in 1996. Despite their fierce reputation as tamers of dragons, they are also known for their powerful rulers, even though some are quite a bit mad too. Fans of Daenerys Targaryen will remember that not even the Mother of Dragons could escape the madness that apparently runs in the Targaryen’s blood.

Will the madness continue? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

The 10-episode series will air some time in 2022. The teaser trailer was unveiled today as part of a promo event for HBO Max’s rollout in Europe.
