Every game nominated for IndieCade 2021
Time is fake but if our calculations are correct (they are, we checked) then you’ll be happy to know that IndieCade 2021 is just around the corner. With this event, fans, players, and creators come together to celebrate the creative indie games that are innovative and pushing boundaries, often granting developers and their games awards for their work.
The event is online only for this year, but don’t let that prevent you from taking interest in what’s on offer. If you grab a (free) ticket, you’ll be privy to complimentary access to the discussions and gameplay that will be part of the IndieCade Festival from October 22-24. Considering there are 48 different games being featured – and not all of them are video games at that – we’re certain there’s going to be some incredible conversations happening.
As for the awards themselves, there are General Award Categories, Honorary Awards, and Spotlight Awards. It’s also possible that games can be nominated for more than one category – so it’s possible that one game can rack up more than a few awards before the event is over.
The hosts for the event are Sarah Elmaleh and Asher Vollmer. Elmaleh is well-known for her work as an actor, starring in Anthem as the voice of the female Freelancer. She’s also appeared in many indie games too, including Pyre and Gone Home. As for Vollmer, he is an independent developer known for designing the minimalist iOS puzzlers, Threes and Puzzlejuice.
Now, what about them games? There are 48 games to root for, and some you’ll recognize as being queer favourites that have just recently come out.
