Imperial Grace combines LGBTQ+ romance, kingdom management, and a badass female protagonist

One of the best things about working to find LGBTQ+ games is that you find one, and then you stumble onto several more that are just as good. That’s why I was super hyped to come across Imperial Grace from Synstoria, the independent studio working on this otome/management game.

In this game you play as an Empress (who is customizable, by the way) that’s just risen to power after the death of her father. While you may certainly feel powerful, it’s up to you to show that you’re up for the job of restoring the Calidya Empire to its former glory. To do that you’ll need to manage your kingdom’s resources and navigate your allies wisely – all in the space of a single year. No pressure.

It isn’t all work and no play though. A badass Empress you may be, but there are people for you to meet and fall in love with. You’ve got three options to choose from – 2 men, and 1 woman. These romance options are Alexander of Fermont, Asha Isabis, and Theodore of Faraam. All three have different reasons for being at your side, and each has an extensive backstory that’s just waiting for you to unravel as you get closer to them all.

From the get-go there’s a lot to like about Imperial Grace. It looks fantastic, with artwork looking like it belongs in an art gallery and character design that makes us feel a little weak in the knees. Thank god there’s romance in this game, because I am feeling a liiiittle thirsty just looking at these beautiful people, the main character included.

If Imperial Grace sounds like the game for you, then you’ll be pleased to know that a demo just launched – today – for the game. Head on over to itch.io and woo the world with your wisdom and badassery, you know you want to.
