The Top 10 Star Wars games in the US revealed

From David Gaider being unsure about how he would handle a series as beloved as Star Wars, to the top 10 Star Wars games in the US being revealed via the NPD Group, there was a lot to discover and celebrate on May 4th yesterday.

The reveal of just which Star Wars game raked in the most however, truly piqued our interest. After all, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order absolutely smashed all expectations, selling over 10 million copies and even has talks of a sequel mulling around the internet. To say that Star Wars players are itching for some single-player stories is the understatement of the year.

But it wasn’t Jedi Fallen Order that ended up being the top Star Wars game to rake in all the cash. According to the NPD, the official list of the top-selling Star Wars games in the US from 1995 to 2021 are the following:

1 – Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)

2 – Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

3 – Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017)

4 – LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga

5 – Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

6 – Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005)

7 – LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

8 – LEGO Star Wars

9 – Star Wars: Battlefront

10 – Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

Well first of all, this absolutely Star Wars: Kinect erasure and secondly… Well done to Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, a game that we’ve never heard of but are genuinely pleased to see. We had expected it to be Star Wars: Racer in all honesty, so we’re grateful for the surprise.

It’s nice to see some LEGO games in there too, and we’re not just saying that because it’s our EIC’s favourite sort of games. There’s also a very good implication that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be in demand when it actually releases. Which will be…whenever that’s going to be.
