Tales of Arise fans are already pretty sure who the protagonists’ voice actors are

Bandai Namco has decided to give Tales Of fans a few crumbs of serotonin by promising that more news about Tales of Arise will come in spring this year. This reveal came after the Tales of Festival, which was celebrated online in Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, released a brand new trailer for the highly-anticipated JRPG, showing off new clips from Tales of Arise, as well finally letting us hear the voices of the English voice actors.

But while fans are excited at the possibility of news coming sooner rather than later, others are more overjoyed with the prospect of trying to guess just who will be voicing the duo protagonists – Shionne and Alphen. We know that their Japanese voice actors are Shino Shimoji and Takuya Sato, but their English voice actors have sparked a wild debate of guessing.

Funnily enough, if you’ve played Tales of Berseria then the voices of the two protagonists might seem very, very familiar. As of now, most fans are assuming that the voice actors of Shionne and Alphen are Erica Lindbeck and Ray Chase – who voiced Magilou and Arthur in Tales of Berseria.

As of now, there’s been no confirmation if they are indeed the voice actors for Shionne and Alphen, but we can’t deny the similarity is there. And as we said, most fans of the Tales of series are picking up on the voice cues now that the English dub has been finally revealed.

Ray Chase and Erica Lindbeck have been in a numerous amount of JRPGs, with Chase winning hearts in his role as Final Fantasy 15’s Noctis, and Lindbeck as Jessie Raspberry in the smash-hit video game, Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It’d most certainly not be an unwelcome surprise if they ended up being the voice actors behind Tales of Arise’s two protagonists.

With no real confirmation, however, we’ll have to cling to hope that the news waiting for us sometime in Spring 2021 will answer our questions on just who are the English voice actors for Tales of Arise. Well that, and when the game is coming out. That’s important too.

EDIT: As of the 21st of April, it has since been confirmed that Tales of Arise will release worldwide on the 10th of September.
