Project Hazel Is an N95 Mask With RGB and Voice Projection From Razer

There were two thoughts that popped in the head of everyone’s minds when Razer revealed Project Hazel, an N95 mask with RGB, voice projection, and the, apparently, uncanny ability to make everyone look super cool and futuristic. The first thought was obviously ‘this is going to be so cool for cosplay purposes’ and the second was ‘sweet! No more glasses fogging up!’

Thanks to an airtight seal around the mouth area, fogging up your glasses is a problem for those who aren’t wearing Project Hazel masks from Razer. So, with that in mind, this article is done. Finito. You truly need no other reason to make you want to buy this mask when it comes out.

But… if you do, then fine. We’ll explain.

On the official website, Razer states that this new mask provides protection that’s far from average. No doubt because of the surgical N95 respirator that provides high fluid resistance, protecting you against large droplets and splashes. Then there’s the smart mask’s active ventilation system that regulates airflow, capable of filtering out 95% of airborne particles. And if that isn’t enough, then don’t fret, because the mask also comes with a special case with an interior lined with a UV light to kill bacteria while the mask charges.

Project Hazel will also include a clear, transparent design so that people will be able to see your expression, and even read your lips. This will work even during night time, as the mask’s interior will light up in the dark – allowing you to express yourself, regardless of lighting conditions.

But Project Hazel wouldn’t be from Razer if it didn’t include its own personal flair. Owners of the mask will be able to show off their personality and aesthetic through customizable lighting zones powered by the Razer Chroma RGB – something which is also being supported by Baldur’s Gate 3, if fans want to know. No matter what you’re doing, or where you are, you’ll have the chance to show the world your style.

There’s no official word from Razer on when the mask will be available, but it’s apparently going to be ‘soon.’ Razer has also been tight-lipped on the price of Project Hazel, but considering how expensive their products usually are… We suspect that this mask will be no different.
