Lez Hang Out Podcast Reveals New LGBTQ RomCom Musical

Lez Hang Out, one of the most popular lesbian podcasts in the world and having featured on HER’s list of “The Best LGBTQ+ Podcasts You Should Be Listening To’ as well as LOGO’s list of podcasts in the golden age of queer women, have just revealed a brand new, genre-altering LGBTQ podcast musical. This RomCom musical is set to release in early Spring, 2021.

The musical is called The Flame, and tells the story of two women: Jamie, a queer bar owner, and Sam, the woman selling the building the bar inhabits, and the inevitable sparks that end up flying between them! Who doesn’t love a good ol’ rivals to lovers?

The Flame has a star-studded cast, with more than a few familiar faces. Valerie Rose Lohman, the BAFTA-nominated voice actress that gamers will recognize as Edith from What Remains of Edith Finch, is the executive producer and voice of Mel, in this project.

Outside of Lohman, other cast members include Jasmin Savoy Brown (HBO’s “The Leftovers) as Sam, Jenn Colella (Tony Nominee, “Come From Away”) as Jo, Chilina Kennedy (“Beautiful: The Carol King Musical” on Broadway) as Rachel, Harrison White (“Waiting in the Wings”) as The
Narrator, Ellie Brigida (Lez Hang Out) as Jamie, Leigh Holmes Foster (Lez Hang Out) as Heather, and Jesse Nowack (Youtube’s “PinkBlue”) as Harold.

The Flame will be an 8 episode limited series, and will come equipped with the musical talent of both Lez Hang Out hosts, Ellie Brigida, and Leigh Holmes Foster, who often write original songs based on the lesbian media they consume.

We’re very excited for The Flame, and if you are too, head on over to Pinkstart where you can help with the production’s crowdfunding campaign.
