10 indie games for a tenner? 10mg has you covered
In the year 2020 we need something weird and wonderful to keep things exciting. Something that keeps you on your toes, something that makes you smile and laugh. Something a little like 10mg, a collective that is here to offer you a bargain – 10 games for 10 pounds.
10mg’s priority is giving you, the player, a chance to try out 10 mini-games that won’t take up hours of your time – but will give you an experience that you can reflect on. They are boundary-pushing, creative and won’t take up too much of your time. Just 10 minutes of it.
But what is 10mg? 10mg is a collective of indie developers that are dedicated to creating an appetite for short games that explore new, nourishing ideas where inspiration, originality, and pushing the envelope are king. However, it’s not just about games. 10mg aims to establish a recognizable format and brand for games that dare to push back. In such a small format, developers can be braver and bolder in their ideas.
You are such a Soft and Round Kitten is just one of the games included in the collection. It’s joined by the following:
- 🙂 – Play a series of tiny games based on well-known classics, each with a unique twist.
- Stroke – The memory of a medical emergency crafted into an Interactive Fiction. How will you act when someone you love is in the middle of a medical emergency and all you can do is wait?
- Locked In – A co-op visual novel simulating the breakdown of a marriage during lockdown.
- SNAAAK – A short Snakevania about encarnating a formless critter delving into the bowels of a bleak complex.
- Sealed Estate – Being chased and watched.. what is going on?
- Always Down – A 10 minute long game about going away.
- Cover Me in Leaves – A short work of interactive horror fiction, about bright minds, and the end of all things.
- SLASHER, Interrupted – A campfire story interrupted by your girlfriends.
- HANDMADE DEATHLABRYINTH Issue 0 – A dungeon crawl in glorious 160×144 resolution. Fight unforgiving battles in tight corridors. Use powerful, limited magic to overcome the odds.
- You are such a Soft and Round Kitten – You are a kitten in the world, will you enter the doors and find various items?
Each of these games have a separate store page, however if you purchase all 10 – bundled on Steam and Itch.io – you’ll be able to get them all for 10 pound. A real bargain if you ask us!
