The Best of Nintendo Indies World – August 2020

While we’re sure some Nintendo fans were disappointed – because when are they never not, right? – to us, the Nintendo Indies of August 2020 showed some amazing games. So many good games, that it was actually hard to do this list.

Still, after much perseverance, we managed to narrow it down to a top 5 list. We hope you give these games a look, and it’d be nice to even throw them some support along the way, now wouldn’t it?

Here are Gayming Magazine’s top 5 picks from the Nintendo Indies of August 2020.

Bear and Breakfast

As we stated on our Twitter, we’re so very glad that finally there are some bear friendly Bed and Breakfasts! We’re glad that twinks get the love, but what about our bears and cubs, huh? Thankfully, Bear and Breakfast seems to have our back on this one.

There’s not much to explain in this one. In this game you get to manage your very own B&B, the only real difference is that you’re a bear and there’s a weird fox with glowy eyes that yells at you. Nothing strange about that at all!

Bear and Breakfast is set to release next year as a timed console exclusive.

Raji: An Ancient Epic

With the fate of the world on her shoulders, Raji is forced to take on the villainous demons and evil that threaten to destroy everything she holds dear.

In Raji: An Ancient Epic, players will be able to explore ancient India for the first time ever, exploring Hindu and Balinese mythology through this action-adventure epic that boasts an exciting narrative and thrilling characters.

Raji: An Ancient Epic is available to play right now on the Nintendo Switch.

Takeshi and Hiroshi

Combining role-playing gameplay with puppet animation, Takeshi and Hiroshi is about two brothers and their daily life together. Takeshi is 14 years old, but that doesn’t stop him from being a kickass game designer – something which his brother really admires.

What we really like about the concept of Takeshi and Hirsohi is that it combines two different art styles, and does so in a way that is both fun and makes sense.

You can play Takeshi and Hiroshi right now on the Nintendo Switch.

Card Shark

Sometimes cheating is okay! Well, at least it is when it comes to card game, Card Shark. Created by the studio behind Reigns, Card Shark is a tale of deception and doing your utmost not to get shot in the belly for it.

Set in 18th century Europe, players will have to cheat their way to victory using real-life card manipulation techniques and tricks in order to win big. Be careful though, characters who get wind of your lies may not always be so happy to let you get away with it.

Card Shark is set to release on the Nintendo Switch sometime next year.

Ever wanted to storm through hell and kick some major ass? Thanks to Supergiant Games, you’re now able to do just that on the PC, as well as the Nintendo Switch!

In Hades, a rogue-like dungeon crawler, you play as the Immortal Prince of the Underworld and your job is to wield the weapons of Olympus and break free from the overbearing dead god himself.

Hades will feature cross-progression from the PC to the Nintendo Switch when the game releases on Switch sometime in the Fall.
