Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is set in the Arkham games universe

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is a video game that we never knew we wanted until now. And, to the delight of most DC games fans, will be taking part in the same universe as the Arkham games such as Arkham City, and Arkham Knight.

Rocksteady revealed Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League on the 22nd of August, during the DC Fan Dome event. As you can tell from the title, it looks as though fan-favourites Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark will be going up against some formidable foes.

Of course, considering The Justice League are y’know, the ‘good guys’, it’s usually the other way around. However, it seems as though the famed heroes of this generation have been brainwashed by Brainiac, meaning its up to Amanda Waller’s team of misfits to eliminate the threat once and for all.

Unlike Gotham Knights, this Suicide Squad game will be part of the continuation from the Arkham games, so expect links and throwbacks. It also casts doubt on which characters will be returning, especially if you consider that Poison Ivy died in Arkham Knight, whereas Joker died in Arkham City. Still, there might be the possibility of meeting up with other members of the Squad, such as Killer Croc, Katana, and of course, Amanda Waller herself.

As VideoGamer describes it, this game will “combines the studio’s signature character-driven story gameplay with third-person shooter action to deliver a gaming experience unlike any other.” It will also be playable in single-player or multiplayer modes, meaning that you and your friends can do the ultimate team-up if you so choose.

Unfortunately, we’ve still got at least 2 years to go before we can play this game. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will release on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC sometime in 2022.
