Remothered: Broken Porcelain will release one week early

Remothered: Broken Porcelain was originally set to release on October 20th, but indie publisher Modus Games have decided that – due to an incredibly busy month for games, particularly the horror genre – that they’ll launch the game a week early.

Shane Bierwith, EVP of global marketing at Modus acknowledged that moving games forward wasn’t common, but necessary for Remothered: Broken Porcelain as Modus would like players “to have more time to experience all the great games releasing around Halloween.” Pretty nice of them if you ask me.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain acts as both a sequel and prequel to Remothered: Tormented Fathers, continuing the journey of a thrilling, horrific trilogy that will feature new and returning characters to scare the pants off of us. Unlike the first game, Remothered: Broken Porcelain seems to focus on the new relationship between two young girls. Though, considering it’s a horror game, we doubt those fun, happy moments will last long.

The sequel will include new characters, puzzles, lore, and narrative and gameplay mechanics – sure to spook even the bravest of players. But don’t worry, you’ve still got two more weeks to prepare for it, as the game doesn’t come out until October 13th.

In the meantime, check out Matt Kamen’s thoughts of Remothered: Broken Porcelain and whether you should give this game a chance – despite it’s checkered, transphobic past.
