Dead by Daylight reveals new killer called The Blight
It seems like only a few weeks ago that Dead by Daylight revealed Pyramid Head and Cheryl Mason was coming to the game. So we were plenty surprised when Dead by Daylight revealed new killer, The Blight, as well as survivor, Felix Richter, in their player test beta yesterday.
Behavior Interactive teased that something new would be coming to the game a few days ago, but we had no idea that it would be a new killer so soon. Reddit communities that focus on Dead by Daylight leaks also had us speculating that the new killer and survivor would come from an already existing franchise, rather than something brand new from the creative team. Looks like they were wrong on that one!
As you can see from the above tweets, the new survivor and killer will be officially released under Chapter 17: Descend Beyond. Players who are interested in the lore of Dead by Daylight will already know that The Blight seems to be the Alchemist – character whose story was explored in past events and Rifts.
Felix, however, seems to be a bit of a mystery and currently we’re unsure if he is directly linked to The Blight in a way that’s similar to how a few other survivors are linked to the killer they release with.
Currently both Felix and The Blight are only available on PC inside the PTB, so console players will sadly be unable to play either until they are both released on console.
