Yakuza 7 release date is revealed
Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon has finally had it’s release date revealed: November 13. Yakuza 7 was revealed last year, and was released in January in Japan, 2020, which gives us plenty of time to play catch up on what makes this game so special this November.
Yakuza 7 is very different from previous installments. For one, you are no longer playing Kiryu Kazama, the loveable, taciturn ex-Yakuza, but balls-to-the-wall Ichiban Kasuga. Like Kiryu, he was an orphan that was brought into the life of a Yakuza thanks to being adopted by the head of a clan. This time around it’s the Arakawa Clan, with Masumi Arakawa as the head of the family, and who acts like a father figure to Ichiban.
As you may have already guessed from previous trailers, something goes very wrong and Ichiban is forced to go against the father who saved him. How that pans out remains a mystery, but one we’re very excited to find more about this upcoming November.
Yakuza 7 is set to release on the PS4, PC, Xbox One on November 13th. According to IGN, it will be optimized for Xbox Series X, with the PS5 receiving the game at a later date.
