The Last of Us Part 2 download size is 100GB minimum

The Last of Us Part 2 download size has always been up for debate. After all, it’s already been confirmed that this game is going to be huge, with the physical edition shipping with two discs instead of one. If you have choppy internet, then Godspeed, because this is going to be one long download.

The download size has been confirmed through The Last of Us Part 2’s US PlayStation page where, at the bottom of the page, it’s confirmed that the game will be single-player, have 2 discs, and indeed will need 100GB of your PS4’s storage in order to run.

As IGN pointed out, The Last of Us Part 2 isn’t the first game to adopt a two-disc method as Red Dead Redemption 2 also did the same when it released back in 2018. You thankfully didn’t need to swap them halfway through, though it has yet to be confirmed if The Last of Us Part 2 will get the same treatment.

The Last of Us Part 2 was originally delayed ‘indefinitely’, but since major spoilers were leaked online only a few days ago, Naughty Dog has since confirmed that Part 2 will be in our hands on the 19th of June.
