Gonzalo Martin aka Sean Diaz from Life is Strange 2 Wins a BAFTA
Last night the BAFTA Games Awards had a new coat of paint. As you may have guessed, there’s a bit of a problem with the whole ‘going to an award’s show’ when the whole world is protecting itself from COVID-19. Thankfully, that didn’t stop the event from being live-streamed. And boy, what an event that was for Gonzalo Martin!
Martin is well known for his appearance in Buzzfeed Murder Mystery Stories as Riley, as well as his role as Sean Diaz in Life is Strange 2. It was due to his phenomenal performance as Sean that he was nominated for Best Performer in a Leading Role. A nomination that turned into a win!
He was up against some incredible, well-known talent too, such as Laura Bailey, Courtney Hope, and Norman Reedus. However, Martin taking the win is very well-deserved. His passionate performance resonated with quite a few people, including contributor Natalie Flores.
In his acceptance speech, Martin thanks his friends, family, fans, and cast, and even gave a shout out to Roman Dean George, the voice of Daniel Diaz. He also said thanks to himself for putting in the work and believing in himself. We couldn’t agree more.
If you have yet to play Life is Strange 2, now is the great time to do just that. It’s a thrilling and touching game, and is one of the few out there that will let you play as a bisexual man. Go give this game, Gonzalo Martin, and DONTNOD, the love it deserves!
