Cybernoir adventure game, Chinatown Detective Agency, reaches Kickstarter goal

Singapore-based studio General Interactive Co may have got your attention with its indie darling, Terroir, but with Chinatown Detective Agency, it’s going to pull out all the stops to win your heart — and your purchase. And why not? The game just reached its Kickstarter goal yesterday.

But what is the game about? Well, we’re glad you asked. It’s a cybernoir point-and-click adventure, offering a stellar cast, management mechanics, and beautiful pixel art that’ll have you eager to put your detective skills into action and crack the case.

The game is inspired by the classic Carmen Sandiego games of the 80s and 90s, and it shows. Instead of following Ms Sandiego however, you’ll be put in the shoes of Amira Darma, an ex-police force turned private investigator who is willing to kick ass and take names.

Thanks to the success of Kickstarter, Chinatown Detective Agency has the chance of not only releasing on PC, but depending on the amount of support the game receives, could be ported to the Nintendo Switch as well. With just 6 days to go, fans of the game will have to be quick to support it in order to get that all-important Switch port.
