Warcraft 3 players are livid at Blizzard for lying, and banning users

Warcraft 3 players are not having the best day, and it’s not hard to see why when the product they’ve received from Blizzard has been barely up to snuff. And that, dear reader, is putting it politely.

There have been a number of complaints directed at Blizzard on Reddit and even their own forums, and it isn’t just for one reason either. Fans of the classic Warcraft 3 are infuriated at having their custom campaigns made inaccessible due to having to update their games to be suited for cross-play with the remastered Warcraft 3. This is, no doubt, a bug that will hopefully get fixed sometime in the future, but as of now, it has left Classic players livid.

Though they aren’t the only ones who are feeling heated. Those fans who ordered Warcraft 3 aren’t singing Blizzard’s praises either. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. While Blizzard promised an updated game with remastered cinematics and graphics, there are a few things missing. Namely, the changes that were shown during 2018’s Blizzcon.

The original video by GyLala has been watched over 300,000 times, with fans complaining that they were duped by Blizzard during Blizzcon 2018. While we would be the first to tell you that demos aren’t always what you’re going to get in the final product, this change by Blizzard is nothing short of baffling.

The outrage has got so bad, that, according to Multiplayer First, some players are even requesting for a refund. Which, for some reason or other, has led to Blizzard actually banning players for either attempting it, or for helping those who aren’t sure how to ask for a refund.

There have been numerous reports about this situation, though until we get official confirmation from Blizzard, we’re not 100% sure what the company’s intentions are.

That hasn’t kept some fans from being in high spirits all the same. It’s actually quite admirable, but fingers crossed that Blizzard will actively communicate with their community and find a way to fix this.
