Tales of Arise age rating is revealed

The Tales of Arise age rating has been revealed in Korea. Unlike previous games such as Tales of Berseria and Tales of Zestiria, which both had an age rating of 16, Tales of Arise will have an age rating of just 12.

There’s been no real indication of what we’ll see within the game, such as blood, fake violence, etc, but at least we know, thanks to Gematsu, that the game’s rating was classified today. Perhaps the release date for Tales of Arise is much sooner than we first expected?

Tales of Arise is a new beginning for many Tales of fans, and not just because of the new characters and setting. With a new engine, and upgraded character models, fans of the Tales series are getting a game that doesn’t rely on the same system as it did back in 2011.

The most recent game, Tales of Berseria, only had us following Velvet Crowe, but this time Tales of Arise has us following Shionne and Alphen. Shionne – also known as Gun Lailah to some Tales of fans – is from the advanced world of Rena, while Alphen is from Dahna, a more medieval world.

As usual, they will be joined by other characters in their quest together, and ‘skits’, the 2D animation where the characters talk to one another, will also be making a return.

Tales of Arise is set to come out in 2020 for Xbox, PS4, and PC. A date has not yet been revealed.
