LGBT Cosplayer of the Week: OliviousCosplay

There’s just something electric about dressing up as someone who’s one of your favourite character. So, OliviousCosplay is most certainly living the life. Just look at them rocking that Cassandra Pentaghast cosplay, folks. We’re sure that Dragon Age fans are pretty excited over that.

Last week in Gayming Magazine we ventured into being very meta. How so? By letting you know that you, dear reader, could be the LGBT cosplayer of the week, or life in general, by being true to yourself and getting into cosplay if that’s what you really want to do.

For OliviousCosplay, also known as Liv Baker, that was exactly what they wanted to do.

They got into being a cosplayer when they were just 11 years old, back when they were starting high school. Olivious was approached by their friend, who wondered if they would possibly join them on their journey to Anime North. Anime North is a fan-run anime event that’s held in Toronto, Canada.

Olivious said yes, and together they put together a beautiful Yoruichi cosplay from Bleach. After that experience, Olivious never looked back, going on to create cosplays of Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy, Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Clementine from The Walking Dead.

Olivious’s favourite cosplay, is of course, the Queen of Disgust herself: Cassandra Pentaghast. It makes them feel the most powerful, and who can blame them? Just one look at Cassandra Pentaghats is enough to make us quiver in our boots.

As for what they are working on in the future… If you’re a fan of The Dragon Prince, you should keep an eye on Olivious’ account as Janai may be appearing on there sometime soon.
