Check out all these Gay Western games from the Gay Western Jam
There isn’t nearly enough queer content in Westerns, one of the most unintentionally homoerotic genres of all time. After all, what’s gayer than tilting your hat at another man, and sharing eye contact all the way throughout it? Nothing we tell you, nothing! Which is where the Gay Western Jam comes in…
At first glance, it seems obvious that gay Westerns seemed to have peaked with Brokeback Mountain. However, thanks to Robert Yang, the creator behind one of our favourite games The Tearoom, gay Western content has just had one incredible spike.
Yang hosted The Gay Western Jam from the 2nd of December to the 11th of December where, during that time, it received 33 entries dedicated to showing queer love in a genre that isn’t shown as much love as it deserves.
There are a number of different games involved with this Jam, and each offers a unique story and cast of characters that’ll make you want to go back for more.
We’ve not played all of them, but we absolutely love the ideas behind each and every one. From finding the man who killed your father, to trying to navigate yourself around a town that believes you’re a man, despite being a woman. We’re certain that you’ll find something you’ll love in this Gay Western Jam.
