Google Stadia doubles its video game launch line-up

Google Stadia has not had the best ‘look’ for a while now. When it was first released, the common misconception was that this was going to be ‘Netflix but for video games’. A concept that sounds nice, but is so far from what Google Stadia actually is that the more information revealed, the seemingly less enthused people became.

One of the things that wasn’t so well-received was the fact that there was only going to be 12 games available at release. However, thanks to a tweet from Geoff Keighley, well known for his work with The Video Game Award show, we now know that there won’t be 12 games at launch anymore. Instead, there will be 22, alongside free game Destiny 2.

There are no new exclusives in the list, with Tequila Works’ Gylt being the only game that remains exclusive to Stadia.

The full list shows off the following games:

  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
  • Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2
  • Destiny 2: The Collection
  • Farming Simulator 2019
  • Final Fantasy 15
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Grid 2019
  • Gylt
  • Just Dance 2020
  • Kine
  • Metro Exodus
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider

Nothing too ground-breaking, but more is most certainly better. Whether it’ll be enough to convince consumers to buy Google Stadia at launch remains to be seen.
