The new Animal Crossing footage is adorable and we need it now

The recent Nintendo Direct revealed many games that we need in our lives. This includes brand new Animal Crossing footage that showed off some brand new features, further proving the point that we need this game now, actually.

The feature shown during Nintendo Direct was only five minutes long, but showed off some of the most beautiful things that Animal Crossing will have on offer when it releases next year such as building/crafting mechanics, the use of changing weather/seasons, and eight-player multiplayer.

And of course, your life on this deserted island would be incomplete without Tom Nook’s — and his family’s — helpful services. After all, without them, you wouldn’t even have a tent.

The video from Nintendo Direct revealed more about what we could expect, such as the Resident Services building, where you’ll be able to buy important equipment like tools and furniture. You’ll also be able to sell any items you don’t want anymore to Tom Nook, so say goodbye to those useless weeds and the overwhelming quantity of apples you have in your pockets.

You’ll also be able to place your furniture anywhere you want, including beaches, forests, etc. You can move them around and twist them in whichever way you want to get a perfect position, and your new friends can even use your equipment too.

But for us, the eight-player multiplayer is what has got our attention, especially as up to four players can play on one system. With this in mind, you could explore, have fun and create with all of your friends — nobody will be left out on these sessions ever again!
