Overwatch for Switch: all the details we know so far

Overwatch for Switch was announced just yesterday, but already there are questions, questions, and even more questions. Yes, we can finally take our wife and husband, Tracer and Soldier 76, with us no matter where we go, but what else is there? After all, the announcement yesterday only included a few details, and none were incredibly important.

Thankfully, we at Gayming Magazine are here to help shed some light onto the situation.

First of all, we’ll point out the obvious: yes you can take and play Overwatch with you no matter where you go. As long as you have a decent internet connection, Overwatch will always be there for you to play and kick butt with.

Other features included on Overwatch for Switch

The main attraction: this little cutie.

Motion Control – yes, you’ve heard right. Players will have the option to take control of their heroes in a new way using the console’s built-in gyroscopic motion controls. This lets players tilt their console to line up the perfect shot as McCree, pilot D.Va through the air, or quickly turn to deflect incoming projectiles as Genji.

Three years of content included – Overwatch is being constantly updated, and that means Switch players will be getting all of that content this October.

All 31 heroes are available – Choose from a diverse and ever-expanding roster of heroes from around the globe. Newer characters like Sigma, Hammond, and Ashe are all available right from the beginning.

New modes/Arcade – Just like on all the other versions of Overwatch, you’ll be able to explore the Arcade or Game Browser to find matches with unique rulesets such as Mystery Heroes and 4 v 4 mode.

Of course, these are just some of the features that Overwatch has available. Check out the video below to discover more.

Overwatch heads to Nintendo Switch on October 15th. It will be available in a boxed version (containing a code to download the game) and digital version via the Nintendo eShop (suggested price of £34.99).

Both versions come with 15 bonus skins for a range of heroes to kick-start players’ collections, as well as a three-month Nintendo Switch Online individual membership so players can jump into action and start battling alongside, and against, their fellow Nintendo Switch gamers immediately.

Are you ready to get your Overwatch on? As you all know, the Nintendo Switch could always use more heroes.
