Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage reveals new details on Pacifica, combat, and more

Today was a good day for Cyberpunk 2077 fans, specifically those on the prowl for new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay.

Thanks for a 14-minute demo, we now know more about one of the locations of Cyberpunk, two nifty ways to handle enemies, and a few of the characters that we’ll be encountering throughout our time in this sci-fi RPG adventure.

One of these characters we already know: Johnny Silverhands. The ‘Deep Dive’ video from CD Projekt RED didn’t tell us much more about Johnny that we didn’t already know, but it did give us a look at his actual character model in-game. So do be sure to check that out.

We also had a look at two gangs, The Voodoo Boys and the Animals. These two are at war with one another, and for some reason or another, your character V has gotten involved.

The Voodoo Boys are experts at using the net to further their interests, whereas the Animals prefer a more hands-on approach and use technology that enhances their strength. They also have a lot of rippling muscles, which is nice when they aren’t using those muscles to rip you apart.

These gangs are based in a place called Pacifica, just one section of the world of Cyberpunk. Pacific is described as a place where “reality and expectations” clashed together, leaving a husk of an area where gang wars occur daily, and many other citizens would downright ignore to stay safe.

But it isn’t all bad. Inside Pacifica, there are very little rules to break and the chance of getting illegal tech rises. Whether the authorities will catch onto your deeds, however, remains to be seen.

Outside of the world, the new footage also provided us with some killer gameplay and the combination of both being stealthy and forceful. Being a more hands-on kind of player, you’ll be able to rip open doors to gain entry and shred turrets from their places to use against your enemies.
