Pokemon Direct Announcements: Everything announced during the Pokemon Direct

There’s a lot to love about Nintendo’s Directs, their often short, but with a load of information packed in so you’re not left with only crumbs of information. These Pokemon Direct announcements are no exception – they were jam-packed with a ton of information!

We’re so glad to be proven wrong and for the Pokemon Direct to include not only a new game, but brand new content for Pokemon Sword and Shield.

From Pokemon Home updates to the reveal of legendary Pokemon, here is everything that was announced during the Pokemon Direct.

Pokemon Home will release in sometime in February

Pokemon Home, the cloud-service where players are able to store their Pokemon from Pokemon Go, as well as games like Pokemon Let’s Go and Pokemon Sword and Shield, will be launching this February.

There wasn’t much more information about this app, apart from more news will be arriving soon.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX releases on March 6th

Even if you’re not a Pokemon fan, when Pokemon Mystery Dungeon first released back in 2006, you just played it. It let you actually be a Pokemon instead of forcing you to be a trainer, which was good enough for everyone to jump on the bandwagon and play Mystery Dungeon.

Now it’s returning, with upgraded visuals and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

It releases on March 6th, but a demo will be available to play later on today.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are getting an Expansion Pass

Pokemon Direct Announcements

Pokemon Sword and Shield has had a lot of controversy and hate thrown its way, but Game Freak have always persisted against the onslaught. Today, it looks to have paid off, as they’ve just announced an expansion pass for both Pokemon Sword and Shield.

The expansion pass includes a whole lot of things, including new isles – the Isle of Armor and the Isle of Tundra, where you’ll meet new people and Pokemon. It all looks plenty of fun, and with more cosmetics, activities and even the return of Legendary Pokemon, we’re hyped for the future.

The price of the expansion pass is approximately £26.99 and can be bought now.
