ConcernedApe reveals huge new features coming in Stardew Valley 1.6
With its PC release date looming just over the horizon on March 19, Stardew Valley developer and creator Erik “ConcernedApe” Barone has revealed several features that will accompany the game’s 1.6 update in the past 24 hours. Some are huge for the game, while others are just kind of strange.
The biggest feature Barone revealed is that a new farm type will become part of the game once Stardew Valley 1.6 releases tomorrow. Currently, there are seven farm types, so this new addition makes for an even eight. This new type is called the Meadowland Farm, and has a new type of grass and extra infrastructure benefits.
“Farm type: Meadowlands Farm. It has chewy blue grass that animals love. You also start with a coop and 2 chickens,” reads a screenshot of the description ConcernedApe posted on Twitter on March 18.
Another much smaller, and weirder change that ConcernedApe also posted about is that apparently Stardew Valley 1.6 will allow players to drink mayonnaise now. I guess this is good news for anyone with a surplus of mayo and a lot of energy they need to burn.
Stardew Valley 1.6 will release for PC on March 19. Other platforms are supposed to follow shortly, but we currently don’t have any official details on when the update will be ready for console players.
