Stardew Valley 1.6 has an official PC release date

To celebrate the game’s eighth anniversary on February 26, creator Erik “Concerned Ape” Barone announced that Stardew Valley 1.6 will release on PC on March 19.

“It’s the 8th anniversary of Stardew Valley. Thank you for all the support over the years! Today I am announcing the PC Release date for the 1.6 update: –March 19th–. Console & Mobile will follow as soon as possible,” Concerned Ape wrote on Twitter.

“With a new update on the horizon, a worldwide concert tour underway, an official cookbook coming soon, and now over 30 million copies sold, Stardew Valley is thriving more than ever,” Concerned Ape continued. “As always, I’m eternally grateful to the players (you!🫵) for making all of this possible.”

Stardew Valley 1.6 will be the first major update to the game since version 1.5 released in 2020. Concerned Ape has been fully focused on developing this update since April 2023, taking a break from work on his other announced game, Haunted Chocolatier, to do so.

After a four year wait, fans will be able to dive into all the new content and changes Concerned Ape has been working so hard on. PC players will get access first, starting on March 19, with console and mobile players having to wait a bit longer for the update to port for their versions.
