Is Baldur’s Gate 3 Cross-Platform?
Baldur’s Gate 3 is quite literally one of the biggest games of the year, with a massive character creator and hundreds of ways for players to express themselves. Because of that, there’s no shortage of FOMO going around about it, especially if you’re waiting on the PlayStation 5 version coming in September. If you just can’t wait, and have a rig capable of running it, you’ve probably already picked the game up on PC. But what if you want to play on your console, or switch between platforms? Will BG3 allow you to carry on your adventures regardless of where you’re playing?
Is Baldur’s Gate 3 Cross-Platform?
Baldur’s Gate 3 is, in fact, cross-platform, but to use this capability, you need to take a few steps. First, you need to sign up for a Larian account, or sign into yours if you already have one. To access cross-platform play, make sure your Larian account is connected to your BG3 profile.
To do this, launch the game on whatever platform you have it on. Once you do this, the game should prompt you to connect your accounts. Select this option and you should be taken to a browser window. Sign into your Larian account (or create one) and then select the option to connect your account to Baldur’s Gate 3.
Once that’s done, you will also need to enable the cross-platform save option in the game’s settings. When you start your first save, the game should prompt you on whether or not you want to enable this feature. You can also toggle it off or on later in the game’s settings menu.
So, if you’re looking to take your adventures with you wherever you go, this is how to do it!
