Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical will launch with the soundtrack
Summerfall Studios, the developer behind the upcoming roleplaying musical Stray Gods, has announced today that the soundtrack will launch alongside the game on August 10.
However, it won’t just be one album full of the dramatic and emotional songs that make up Summerfall’s interactive RPG. The developer has announced that there will be, overall, 4 albums – 1 for each aspect of protagonist Grace’s charming, kickass, or clever personality, and 1 for a mixture of all three to keep your songs dynamic and fresh.
These Stray Gods soundtrack albums can be seen below, via a Twitter post.
As seen through the Stray Gods demo, players will get the option to pick an aspect of Grace’s personality, which can be used to unlock special dialogue options throughout the game. These personality choices are also reflected in the lyrics of Grace’s songs, meaning that each choice you make will have a different effect on how the song progresses throughout.
In Stray Gods, players take on the role of Grace, a college dropout who earns the ire of the leftover remnants of the Greek pantheon after she inherits the powers of a Muse. If she wants to live, Grace will need to find out who really killed her predecessor and why — which means lots and lots of singing. Hence the 4 different albums coming out.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical will be available for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4/PS5, and the Nintendo Switch on August 10.
