Yuri visual novel Heart of the Woods to receive limited physical edition
Heart of the Woods, a yuri visual novel game from Studio Élan, will receive a limited physical release on PS4, PS5 and the Nintendo Switch via Limited Run Games.
The physical edition features a reversible cover with new artwork by Satchely, the artist of National Park Girls and Doki Doki Literature Club.
Heart of the Woods is a fantasy, supernatural, and yuri visual novel that follows protagonists Maddie and Tara as they visit the mysterious village of Eysenfeld. Maddie and Tara are paranormal investigators and have gained quite the following, which has led them to be called by a young woman called Morgan who assures them that Eysenfeld isn’t as quiet and nurturing as it may appear to be.
There are a lot of strange occurrences in Heart of the Woods, but the one that captures Maddie’s eye the most is that of a ghost. Not just any ghost, though, but a beautiful woman called Abigail who seems tied to the forest that surrounds the town. As for Abigail, it’s been years since she even revealed herself to anyone but there’s something about Maddie that pulls her in.
As things heat up between the four ladies, they all realize that there’s something much darker here at play and that they’ll have to work together to fight for their happy endings.
The game was originally released in 2019 and has earned itself a popular cult following, so it’s no surprise that the yuri visual novel has earned itself a limited physical run.
Physical copies of Heart of the Woods will go up for preorder on April 18th on the Limited Run Games website.
