Life is Strange 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch

More gay shenanigans from the Life is Strange series is coming your way with Life is Strange 2 set to release on the Nintendo Switch this year.

Much like the first Life is Strange game (which followed Max and Chloe), Life is Strange 2 is a narrative-driven adventure that puts you in the role of a teenager with one hell of a gift. This time you play as 16-year-old Sean Diaz, whose life gets turned upside down after a traumatic incident that leaves him and his younger brother Daniel on the run.

Sean and Daniel aren’t just running from the authorities, but they also have to deal with Daniel’s telekinetic powers too. While players aren’t in charge of a great power this time around, Sean’s bleak reality of having to help his brother understand and harness his gift – and how he should use it – makes for a gripping story.

Life is Strange 2 is grand for many reasons: its empathetic writing, its no-nonsense attitude towards the prison system and systematic racism, its inclusion of queer characters, just to name a few things. But what we really enjoyed was the relationship between the two brothers and the impact that has on everyone the two meet.

And if you need another reason to pick up this game, we previously included Life is Strange 2 on our Queer Games of the Decade list back in 2019. Take what you will from that.

Life is Strange 2 will release on Nintendo Switch on February 2, 2023.
