The UNBEATABLE ’22 Qualifiers are underway
The most recent esports competition for UNBEATABLE White Label, the UNBEATABLE ’22 Qualifiers, kicked off on Monday in conjunction with an art contest. This is even more impressive when you take into account the fact that UNBEATABLE White Label isn’t even a fully released game yet, but a demo for the upcoming full release of UNBEATABLE.
Players who participate in the UNBEATABLE ’22 Qualifiers will compete for the top two spots amongst the qualifier circuit. Only these best two players will be allowed to progress and compete against the best of the best in the invitational tournament. Four returning champions from previous competitive UNBEATABLE events are already slotted into this tournament, leaving two spots up for grabs. These players are ZEEYANG (winner of the first-ever UNBEATABLE tournament ARCADE FINALS!), PUNCHY (winner of the BONUS FINALS circuit), YaBoiOGMA (winner of UNBEATABLE: MAGFest 2022), and Milky Moo (winner of UNBEATABLE: MAGFest 2020, which was the first competitive event of any kind for the game).
Players will have to get their highest scores within the special tournament mode within the game to qualify for the next stage of competition.
There are three consecutive songs competitors will have to take on:
- One Eye Closed – Low (the No Straight Roads ending theme) [UNBEATABLE]
- Synthion – True (from NOISZ SL) [OVERLOAD]
- Peak Divide – WAITING [Cleveland]
To participate, players need to download the most recent version of the game and select the “TOURNEY” mode in the menu. Anyone who wants to compete will need to record their tournament run to document their score and submit it through the proper channels by the end of the submission deadline. Players have until Sunday, May 29 at 11:58 p.m. EDT to submit this video for their scores to qualify. Incomplete submissions will still receive a Discord role, but won’t count towards the overall competition.
The qualifiers are taking place alongside an art show, which is accepting submissions for the theme of “competition” until Wednesday, June 22 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Those looking to participate can check out the D-CELL Discord server for all the pertinent details.
