Gamescom 2021: Saints Row reboot looks radically different from previous games

Gamescom 2021 is here and frankly, we’ve already lost our mind at seeing the Saints Row reboot.

It’s been a hectic year, and we’ve all been on tenterhooks, waiting for the next big reveal on just which video game will steal our hearts in the months to come. For us, it was the Saints Row reboot because boy oh boy, did that look promising!

We remember trailers from previous Saints Row games, particularly the Power trailer from the third game. It had everything: action, incredible music, and the desire to make you want to go out there, grab a weapon and become part of a criminal organization and stick it to a corrupt government. Ah, memories.

This Saints Row trailer is no different.

We’ve got a new crew, a new boss, and a new location – Santo Ileso. Santo Illeso is described as “a vibrant fictional city in the heart of the American SouthWest.” And apparently, this city will be the absolute biggest, wildest sandbox location that Volition has worked on for Saints Row.

Just like the first couple of games, this reboot of Saints Row looks like it’s focusing on the crew coming together and shooting for the top. Though, with rival gangs already in control of Santo Ileso we doubt it’ll be an easy ride.

Much like the previous games, players will be able to customize their character and vehicles. We’ll update this article with more information as it comes out.

Gamers can expect the Saints Rows reboot to arrive on February 25, 2022.
