Life is Strange: True Colors will let you LARP and play music with Steph

Life is Strange has not always had the best reputation when it comes to doing things outside of the actual main storyline, but Life is Strange: True Colors looks to be changing that – showing off additional activities that you can do while playing – and that does include LARP.

LARP or LARPing stands for Live Action Role Play and is where participants dress up in character, usually for high fantasy settings but it isn’t exclusive to that, and act out scenarios. It’s basically role-playing like in TTRPGs, but there’s no dice and you do everything in character all the time. You effectively become the character through the use of your physical form.

It’s no surprise that Life is Strange fans will, of course, be doing this LARP activity with none other than Steph Gingrich. Steph was first introduced back in Life is Strange: Before the Storm, notable for having a pretty obvious crush on Rachel Amber (don’t we all?) and being an awesome Dungeon Master when playing Dungeons and Dragons. As such, Steph is a pretty popular character that many queer fans are excited to see in this new sequel.

In a new video called ‘Welcome to Haven Springs’, players are introduced to the nicest looking town – and a well kept-secret too, if Steph is to be believed – in Colorado. It has everything that you could wish for: a good records store, the best places to eat, and an arcade in the pub that’ll let you play some classics. And did we mention there’s Foosball too? Who doesn’t love some Foosball?!

Music also seems to be a big thing here in Haven Springs. Not only is there a record store, but Steph runs the local radio station there too, and if the video is to be believed, you may even get the chance to play live music with Steph for the community. Very nice!

Life is Strange: True Colors is set to launch on September 10th for the PS5, box Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
