Love Shore, an queer sci-fi visual novel has a demo out Friday

Love Shore is the queer, sci-fi game that we’ve all been waiting for, and, good news everyone, it’s got a demo coming your way.

But what is Love Shore about? According to the developer team, Perfect Garbage, this game is one that takes the concepts we’ve always loved in sci-fi and blends them together. Horror, action, love, transhumanism. It has it all.

The game was placed on Kickstarter to help with funding, which has been smashed by over 1,600 pledges. Now fully-funded, Perfect Garbage is committed to making a game with a cast of all-queer characters that are all up for romance, making sure that there’s something for everyone.

Love Shore has two protagonists with their own, different love interests

As for the story, Love Shore describes a world that has been plagued by a fertility crisis.

” [But a] single company stepped in to help the residents: Life S. Incorporated, a biotech firm that claimed to be able to build life out of raw DNA, creating a fully formed human with thoughts, feelings, and morality of their own.

Their minds, physical appearance, and personality would be drawn from their parents’ DNA, but the children would be ‘born’ using artificial bodies. This new generation would be called the S.Humans: a non-aging, tough form of new life.”

Two protagonists means more replayability. Sign us up!

In Love Shore, you’ll be playing one of these S.Humans. The two protagonists are named Farah and Sam, and as you would expect, they are entirely different from one another. What’s more, depending on how you play them and with which love interest you choose from, you’ll have 24 possible endings for you to explore.

But what’s really got us excited is that, even with a release date of sometime in 2021, Perfect Garbage have announced that a demo will be releasing this Friday, the 6th of September. Consider us excited.
