Support International Day of the Girl with the Game of the Girl online event
We don’t have to tell you that, despite the best efforts of organizations around the world, women are still not treated with the respect and love they deserve. They still have to worry about equal pay, sexual abuse in and outside of the workplace, and so much more. This is where International Day of the Girl comes in.
International Day of the Girl was first created by the United Nations to fight for gender equality around the world. Gayming Magazine will be celebrating too, but if you’re looking for something to watch and listen to – we heartily recommend you check out the Game of the Girl panel on October 7th.
The Game of the Girl panel will be hosted by comedian and games journalist, Ellie Gibson. She’ll be joined by Izzy Jagan from Square Enix, Anita Wong from Indigo Pearl, Imogen Mellor from GamingBible, as well as Jade King from Trusted Reviews. These talented individuals will discuss being women in the games industry and celebrating their fellow women in gaming.
During the International Day of the Girl events – which will start on October 7th and last until the 14th – viewers will be able to sign up here in order to watch the events and thus, help support War Child UK in the process.
