Twitch is holding a #StreamWithPride during Pride Month
A lot is happening this June, and not just because of us, Gayming Magazine, holding our very own Pride event, DIGIPRIDE. Twitch, the biggest video game streaming platform in the world, have announced that they’ll be promoting a LGBT+ creators and communities with #StreamWithPride.
According to their blog post, #StreamWithPride is about celebrating and supporting creators, communities and more with “custom emotes, front page streams, charity fundraising, Watch Parties, and more.” Twitch will also be promoting a host of LGBT+ streamers, including Rainbow Arcade, who we had the chance to talk to about being being a prominent LGBT+ influence in streaming.
During this time, you can partake in a lot of different activities. With Twitch partnering with The Trevor Project, you’ll be able to donate to charity with every Sub, Bits, Gifted Sub or Cheer that you give out.
Twitch will also be livestreaming San Francisco’s 50th Pride event, but don’t worry, it’s all going to be online so there is zero risk. Just remember to get your rainbow gear ready and party with friends, because if there’s one thing that everyone needs right now it’s a community.
