Comic Relief plays Dungeons and Dragons this May
Comic Relief and Dungeons and Dragons? Now that’s something we can get behind! In a bid to raise £10,000 for charity, well-known British celebrities such as presenter Sue Perkins (The Great British Bake Off, Insert Name Here), comedian Sara Pascoe (Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Campus), radio presenter and comedian Nish Kumar (Newsjack, Joel & Nish vs The World), and comedian Ed Gamble (Mock of the Week, The Peacock and Gamble Podcast) are sitting down to play some D&D.
For our US readers that may not know anything about Comic Relief, we’re here to help. Comic Relief is a British charity that was founded in 1985 in order to help fight against famine in Ethiopia. Since then, Comic Relief has transformed, getting bigger and better each year. Most of the British Public watch it on TV, though with these uncertain times, we suspect a lot of content will be broadcasted online.
We’re very excited, as most folks will know, us gays will do anything that Sue Perkins commands of us and if it’s to watch these loveable comedians play some Dungeons and Dragons then so be it.
Those who watch will be able to influence the narrative by what choices they pick on a poll. With four comedians and the Dungeon Master being Paul Foxcroft, we’re sure nothing will go wrong! … Right?
This Comic Relief Dungeons and Dragons show will be live on May 8th at 7PM and will be hosted on Tiltify. Will you be watching?
