Boston Gaymers’ Gaymer Fest is sold out! Team reveals Queer Indie Showcase games for all to check out
Tickets are sold out for Boston Gaymers’ inaugural Gaymer Fest this September. The huge community response to the event coming to The Foundry in Cambridge, MA on 19 September 2026 has given the organizers the motivation to make sure they deliver a full day packed with exciting activations and a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community in the Greater Boston Area.
Gaymer Fest promises attendees a full-day event packed with gaming of every kind, from a video game expo spotlighting Boston’s LGBTQ+ game developers, to freeplay board games, TTRPGs, panels, and an all-drag live play.
“Gaymer Fest was a crazy idea I thought of when we were sitting around running the entry table at a BG board game night. What if we combined all our events into one giant one?” said Matthew Vincent, Executive Director of Boston Gaymers. “Now here we are a year later with an amazing event planned and our advance tickets sold out, I could not be happier”.
“Im really proud of the leadership team, they’ve been putting in a lot of work to make this event happen, and I’m excited for our first of hopefully many Gaymer Fests to come!” Daniella Brandolini, Con Chair.
Embracing the grassroots nature of the event, the organizers worked with local nonprofit Boston Game Dev to find local queer developers interested in demoing their video games at their convention. The “Queer Indie Showcase” has confirmed 12 local, LGBTQ+ developed games will be available to try out and the selection ranges from 2D platformers to cozy rhythm games to a game where you dress up cats!
