Pokémon Announces Iconic Natural History Museum, London Pop-Up for 30th Anniversary

Dust off your Pokédex, because Pokémon is celebrating its 30th anniversary in a truly special way. The Pokémon Company International is teaming up with London’s famous Natural History Museum for an exclusive pop-up shop that promises to be a must-see event for fans.

From 26 January to 22 March 2026, the museum’s Cranbourne Boutique will be transformed into a Pokémon paradise. This marks a significant first for the franchise, as it’s the first time they’ve ever launched a pop-up of this kind in a UK museum.

The collaboration is a natural fit. For 30 years, Pokémon has been all about evolution, adaptation, and the diversity of its creatures. From a tiny Charmander growing into a mighty Charizard, to Eevee and its countless potential forms, the series celebrates the wonders of transformation. It’s a theme that perfectly mirrors the museum’s own journey through the evolution of life on Earth.

Adam Farrar, the museum’s Director of Commercial and Visitor Experience, commented on the partnership: “There is such a wonderful alignment between Pokémon and the Natural History Museum… We hope this collaboration will spark joy and curiosity in the creatures around us, both in the world of Pokémon and Earth”.

So, what can you buy? The pop-up will be stocked with exclusive, newly designed merchandise, including clothing, stationery, accessories, and prints. The main event for many collectors will be a brand-new exclusive plush created just for this collaboration. According to the team, the designs are inspired by the museum’s stunning architecture and the beautiful naturalist sketches found in its archives.

Now for the crucial details: how to get in. Entry to the pop-up will be FREE, but booking a ticket in advance is required. Mark your calendars, because tickets will be released online starting 1 October 2025. You can sign up on the Natural History Museum’s website for alerts so you don’t miss out.

If you can’t make it to London, don’t worry. The full product range will also be sold on the Natural History Museum’s online shop from January 2026, and a select range of items will be available on the Pokémon Center UK Official Online Store.

Best of all, every purchase supports a good cause. All profits go toward the Museum’s charitable mission, funding the work of its 400 scientists who are researching solutions to the planetary emergency. It’s retail therapy for a good cause.

See you in the queue, trainers!
