Twitch Pride Guild starts to form up

Following Twitch’s announcement in June that they would be launching the Twitch Pride Guild as their fourth Twitch Unity Guild, newly minted members of the Guild have begun to reveal their membership on social media.

This first cohort of members are from existing Guilds and Ambassadors and include the Guild’s two new leaders, HaiBobby and sweetxsage. These two awesome creators will undertake the important work of bringing the members together for collaboration, networking and support. More news is planned for membership applications and will be shared at TwitchCon San Diego

Twitch Unity Guilds provide community events, special broadcasts, and meaningful connections to support historically underrepresented community members on Twitch.

The Guilds originally started in North America only as there were concerns about how culture and identity have nuance based on location. Twitch took the decision to not rush to open the Guilds up initially too wide to ensure that they were being intentional with the roll out and getting things right.

However, following the recent announcement that they were expanding the Black Guild to include creators from the UK & Ireland, it is noticeable from those sharing their membership news on social media that the Pride Guild is also open to UK & Ireland creators too, which is great news.

TwitchCon San Diego attendees can find out more about the Pride Guild by attending the ‘Introducing the Pride Guild!‘ panel where topics including the goals for the Pride Guild and navigating streaming as LGBTQIA+ Creators will be discussed

Here’s some of the excited new members sharing their news:
