Stray Gods reveals new DLC Stray Gods: Orpheus coming June
Stray Gods: Orpheus, a brand new DLC coming to Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical arrives on PC, Xbox, PlayStation & Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2024.
In our original review for Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical we LOVED the game and it’s originality as a musical game. The game also went on to be multi-award nominated at this year’s Gayming Awards.
In Stray Gods: Orpheus, play as Orpheus in this brand new story building on the original Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical from Humble Games and Summerfall Studios. Orpheus’ story is arguably finished – until Hermes brings him back to the world of the living. With their help, players will guide Orpheus through the depths of mortal decision making – who to date, what to hope for, what instrument to rock out on.
The new DLC stars LGBTQ icons Anthony Rapp (RENT, Star Trek: Discovery) and Erika Ishii (Worlds Beyond Number, Dimension 20) and is written by David Gaider. Stray Gods: Orpheus is a comedic feature length experience that history buffs, hopeless romantics, and rock stars alike can enjoy.
Following on from the awesome soundtrack in the main game, six brand new original songs have been written for this DLC. As in Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, each decision changes the song and the story providing hours of interactive music for players to explore again and again. The songs are composed by Austin Wintory, with lyrics by Simon Hall (Tripod), Montaigne (Jess Cerro) and new addition Tom Cardy (Red Flags, Artificial Intelligence).
