Stich feels the Rush clad in leather and dancing to Troye Sivan at Disneyland Pride

Attendees at Disneyland Pride saw a different side to the lovable rogue Stitch, from Lilo & Stitch, as the character came out in leather and danced to Troye Sivan’s ‘Rush’ as part of the Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite celebrations on Tuesday.

Taking place a the Ohana Dance Party at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace, the performance screamed LGBTQ RIGHTS accompanied by shouts of “Daddy” from the crowd!

Now, full disclosure, this is technically an established look known as Biker Stitch with no direct relation to the leather community, of course, but that didn’t stop various social media users getting very excited with one even referencing a certain leather erotica artist with a post, “Not Stitch of Finland” as they shared the original post from Pop Crave.

While Disney is very fond of giving themselves a pat on the back for including the LGBTQ+ community in scenes of its major blockbusters. It’s become something of a meme in online spaces, particularly among queer TV/Film fans, who are unable to resist poking the billionaire company and it’s abysmal care when it comes to telling queer stories.

However, for this brief moment, let’s celebrate the mash up of leather clad Stitch and Troye Sivan’s poppers anthem ‘Rush’, which leads us to the undeniable conclusion that Stitch does poppers.

Disneyland’s Pride Nite celebrations continue tonight (Thursday, June 20) – more info here: disneyland.disney.go.com/events-tours/disneyland/after-dark-pride-nite
