Next Dragon Age game confirms new title
BioWare today confirmed that the next Dragon Age game will be called Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Also, they confirmed we’ll be getting a first look at the new game in just under a week’s time on June 11th at 8am PT!
Writing in a blog on the BioWare website, Gary McKay, Executive Producer, Dragon Age, and General Manager, BioWare, said it has been an incredible opportunity to explore what the new Dragon Age game will look like.
“We brought everything to the table which, yes, even included a multiplayer concept. The time we spent experimenting and iterating gradually taught us a lot. This work, and the amazing support from EA, helped us re-focus on creating an incredible single player game, with all the choices, characters and world building you’d expect from us.”
He goes to confirm that as with all other Dragon Age games, we can expect Dragon Age: The Veilguard to be a new standalone story set in the world of Thedas with a new lead hero which you can personalize and call your own. Plus, a new cast of seven companions with deep and compelling storylines ready to be morphed by your actions and choices.
“You’ll unite this team of unforgettable heroes as you take on a terrifying new threat unleashed on the world. Naturally, the Dread Wolf still has an important part in this tale, but you and your companions – not your enemies – are the heart of this new experience.”
With special surprises promised, tune in to see over 15 minutes of gameplay from the opening moments of Dragon Age: The Veilguard on Tuesday, June 11th at 8:00am PT at the Dragon Age YouTube channel.
