Baldur’s Gate 3 reveals beautiful vinyl records for die-hard fans
Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t just one of the best RPGs of all time; it also has a killer original score that was practically begging for a vinyl release the moment the game was released on PC and console.
And now that vinyl release is on the way. Gamemusic Records label has announced that pre-orders for the Baldur’s Gate 3 vinyl albums are now available in both Standard and Deluxe editions.
Joining forces alongside Larian Studios and the composer of the score, Borislav Slavov, Gamemusic Records have worked night and day to deliver an outstanding experience that does justice to both the award-winning game and its soundtrack. How? By making sure the vinyl has fully remastered sound and an array of unique, original artwork.
Designed by Magdalena Katanska, the stunning artwork on both the Standard and Deluxe Edition of the Baldur’s Gate 3 vinyl depicts a stunning paranoramic painting, highlighting several of the in-game characters like Shadowheart, Orin, Wyll and more. The Standard edition includes 12-inch vinyl discs (3x 180-gram LP) packed in a gatefold jacket with antistatic sleeves. The discs in this edition are made in a mix of black and purple, representing the dastardly Mind Flayers that you come across in your adventure.
However, the limited Deluxe edition changes the inner sleeves of the vinyl discs to portraits of the Origin Characters, paying homage to these beloved heroes and their incredible journey throughout the game’s three acts.
Based on the idea of duality, each disc in the Deluxe edition also presents a different mix of colours, all coherently representing the pairings, relations, and depth of those characters. Deluxe Edition is presented as a magnetic closure box set, resembling an ancient grimoire. A booklet featuring the piano score of one of the game’s famous tracks, as well as extended liner notes, is also included.
