Apex Legends Shadow Society event brings new mode and artifact
On March 21, EA and Respawn announced that a new event is coming to Apex Legends next week, the Shadow Society event, which invites players to try to rule the underground from March 26. – April 16.
”The underground pauses for no one, Legends. Become cutthroat and rule the Shadow Society Event running March 26 to April 16, 2024,” a blog post about the event reads.
Apex Legends Shadow Society Lockdown LTM
The Apex Legends Shadow Society event is introducing a new limited-time mode to the battle royale called Lockdown. It’s the first of its kind in this game, a four team, free-for-all battle for dominance. Each squad spawns into a match with standard team deathmatch loadouts. The goal is to find Capture Zones, which spawn across the maps randomly. This mode includes four small maps: Thunderdome, Skulltown, Zeus Station, and Monument.
Squads earn points by capturing zones, holding them uncontested, and killing other players. The first team that reaches 500 points wins the match.
Apex Artifact: Cobalt Katar
Apex Artifacts are a new take on melee Heirlooms that are universal, instead of being tied to a specific Legend. Any of the game’s characters can equip and use these.
Players will have the chance to acquire the Cobalt Katar in Shadow Society event packs throughout the event.
Event items
This event is introducing 36 new limited-time cosmetics to the game, including Legendary skins for Mad Maggie, Horizon, and others. Players will be able to access these items alongside the Cobalt Katar in Shadow Society event packs.
Players will also be able to get packs in the Shadow Society Rewards Shop, alongside various other cosmetic rewards to choose from.
