Concerned Ape gives fans an update on Stardew Valley 1.6
On December 1, Erik “Concerned Ape” Barone posted a brief update on Twitter about Stardew Valley 1.6, which he has been working on recently.
“A ton of progress on 1.6 last month,” Barone wrote. “It’s (self-imposed) extreme crunch mode, nose to the grindstone (raw nose) mode. Heres’ one of the many additions in 1.6. Keeping mostly everything secret.”
Stardew Valley 1.6 will be the first major update to the game since version 1.5 released in 2020. Concerned Ape has been fully focused on developing this update since April 2023, taking a break from work on Haunted Chocolatier to do so. We still currently don’t know when Stardew Valley 1.6 will release, but the earliest will definitely be 2024 if this post from Concerned Ape is anything to go off of. Even with “self-imposed extreme crunch,” getting such a huge update out before the end of the year doesn’t seem very realistic.
