Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago promises a Tamagotchi-inspired experience
There are few among us who have not been through a Tamagotchi phase, and now 14 Hours Production wants to bring that phase back to the modern day with Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago.
Part digital pet sim, part casual idle game, and part RPG adventure, Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago follows a Guardian Spirit that was created by The Fairy Queen with one, very simple task: stop the evil Frog Lord from spreading all his evil and mucus (but mostly his evil) from spreading across the land. Seems like a simple job for a Guardian Spirit!
However, a Guardian Spirit does not start off all-powerful. That’s where years of caring for your Tamagotchi back when you had no idea how to come in! Players must take care of the Guardian Spirit by raising them from an egg to an adventurer, guiding and nurturing them to success through quests, upgrading equipment, and interacting with the world around them.
It should be noted that Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago strives to be a casual, but exciting experience for everyone. This means that if your pocket companion falls in battle, they can always be nursed back to health with a little help.
Being heavily inspired by Tamagotchi, there will be plenty of mechanics for you to get to know your Guardian Spirit a little better, but without it taking up all your time. So you can sit back and enjoy the results of your not-so-intensive labour!
Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago will be featured in Steam Next Fest, where audiences can experience a free demo.
In addition to PC, the title will be playable on mobile via iOS and Android at the game’s full launch.
