Calico meowsys its way onto PlayStation this year
Calico, the wholesome cat cafe game from Whitethorn Games, is stretching its way onto the PS4 and PS5 consoles later this year.
If you’ve ever dreamed about hosting your very own cat cafe, then Calico makes that whimsical idea into a reality. After your aunt, an absentee who never had much interest in your life, leaves you as the inheritor of said cafe, you have very little choice but to revitalize the business and restore it from a sad shack into something worth talking about.
Once you finish creating yourself in Calico’s character creator — which is completely genderless and fat-inclusive — you’re thrust into a pastel-coloured and adorable world of animals, cute people, and management. The latter may sound off-putting, but once you get stuck in you’ll quickly realize that with so many different ways to customize and recruit animals to your cafe, there’s plenty of fun to be had.
And now all that players know and love about Calico is coming to the PS4 and PS5. Calico: Pawsome Edition will bring even more content to a player’s cat cafe, such as new animals, an overhaul to both the UI and visuals to provide a better playing experience, as well as the ability to customize more about the cafe itself, such as the wallpapers and floors. Even the cooking minigames that players can perform in the kitchen have been improved, and are bigger and better than ever before.
Calico is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. More information on the exact release date for the PS4 and PS5 version will be revealed later this year.
