The Sims 4 just remade the Caliente Household
Maxis is pulling out all the stops lately with new updates and improvements to the base game of The Sims 4, and that’s never been more clear than now with a new update to the Caliente household.
Veterans of The Sims will remember the Caliente family as being both flirtatious, fiery and, shall we say, open, with their love. You have Nina and Dina, a set of twins who are just as willing to fight you as flirt with you, their mother Katrina, and their favourite boy toy/friend-acquaintance, Don Lothario.
The Caliente’s have a lot of history together, which often differs depending on which Sims game you’re playing. For example, The Sims 2 has Nina as the lover of Don Lothario, their neighbour. Unfortunately, Don is also involved with Dina – without either of them knowing about the other’s liaisons. Also, Dina is trying to get with Mortimer Goth for his money. Do you see? There’s so much to unpack here, and we don’t have the time to do it.
However, in The Sims 4, an alternative universe from previous iterations, this feisty family is a tad different. They are a lot richer for one, and this time Don Lothario has to deal with not just two sisters, but their hot mom too. What’s a womanizer to do?
Well, thanks to a new update for The Sims 4, the answer to that actually is just ‘give the whole Caliente household a makeover.’ Don, Katrina, Nina, and Dina have all been remade, and we’ll be honest and say that Maxis have served us some hot, hot, hot new looks.
This isn’t the first time the team at Maxis has updated previous iconic households. The Goths had a very different look from how they do now, and with the Caliente household also receiving a fresh appearance, will the Landgraabs be next?
The Sims 4 is available to play on PC, Xbox One Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5.
